Cynicism and Misanthropy are technically not philosophy.

“Sophy” is “wisdom” alike Greek Philosopher Sophocles.

“Sophisticated” is Greek for “wise”.

“Sophomoric” is Greek for “witty”.

Therefore it’s like Greek words such as philanthropy (the love of people), Greek philosophy is the love of wisdom.

Philosophy is not spite of wisdom as is misanthropy and cynicism.

However philosophy is for the cynical pessimists because it’s to save them by giving them happiness and a positive attitude.

⚽️ My life goal is to come up with words so powerful and wise, that speaking them will save a depressed person or even a criminally insane depressed person.

I want to conjure an affirmation the likes of the entire Holy Bible concentrated into 1 sentence, like “God bless.” combined with the entire best-of the entire Opus Athens.

Such words don’t yet exist. I must think about this for many years.

It was a dark pre-sunrise 5am morning on January 2024 when I had first set this goal, and at the same moment a spotlight-shining police cruiser drove by. I did a squint on my eyes. It reminded me to purchase a pair of sunglasses.

I came up with a parable. 😎 Even though it’s currently dark, a pair of sunglasses represent I’ve had many bright sunny days in the past, and I will always have many bright sunny days in the future.

Decisions require foresight!

But that would require hindsight and experience, or else trial and error.

Never feel bad about your errors because you don’t have a time machine. Errors are from the lack of experience, and each error is gained experience.

It all breaks down into this quadrant. At the top there are things we have to do, like food or finding a good bed to sleep in.

At the bottom are things we don’t have to do, and the left and right is for mapping out good things or bad things.

We are ever in the center of the quadrant and we just don’t know where everything goes without a map, or a statement, or our own experience. We can learn from others’ experiences, but sometimes it’s difficult to understand where they are coming from.

🚙 Cynicism or “Road rage” naturally occurs while driving, because we are in a distanced exoskeleton on wheels, while navigating a labyrinth of stampeding other people in wheeled exoskeletons. Without any friendly human communication, it’s like navigating a giant swarm of insects who are all careless or angry, and dangerously competing for the space around you.
